Nabarangpur, 18th Nov 2025: A meeting of the Publicity Committee was held on Thursday at the local Ashok Meheta Auditorium to discuss preparations for the district-level folk festival, Mandei-2025 in Nabarangpur. The meeting was presided over by Additional District Collector Tapan Kumar Khuntia. Present at the meeting were District Information and Public Relations Officer Manoj Kumar Behera and District Culture Officer Ghasia Harijan.
In view of the expected large crowds, arrangements for guest security are being made. However, these arrangements are creating challenges for the media, particularly in sending news within deadlines. Therefore, there is a demand to establish proper internet facilities to ensure smooth news coverage.
Media representatives also face difficulties in collecting news and taking photos, as the designated areas for photography and videography are too far from the main stage where guests and dignitaries are seated. This issue was highlighted and discussed during the meeting.
The committee emphasized that attention will be given to resolving these problems, and the concerns will be brought to the notice of the District Culture Council President and the District Collector, stated the committee chairman and Additional District Collector Khuntia.
District-level journalists were present at the meeting. Officials from the District Information and Public Relations Department, including Neelkantha Nayak and Bighnaraj Majhi, assisted in the proceedings.
