Jeypore , Dec, 04: – Ahead of the National Tribal Festival at the district level in Koraput, the Jaypur Panchayat Samiti organized a friendly cricket tournament between public representatives and block administrative officers.
The tournament was held at Dashahara Padia, Jaypur. Winning the toss, the administrative officers batted first and scored 167 runs in 14 overs, losing all their wickets before completing the full 15 overs. In the second innings, the public representatives scored 144 runs in 15 overs.
The administrative team was captained by Video Shakti Mahapatra, while the public representatives were led by Dhanpura Sarpanch Balibhadra Gada. The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Jaypur Block Assistant Engineer Vijay Kumar Nanda and APO Manas Ranjan Kar.
Ravi Nayak was present at the event and awarded the trophy to the administrative officers’ team.
This friendly cricket tournament is organized every year before the festival. Such events help strengthen the relationship between the administration and public representatives. Both teams expressed their gratitude to the district administration for facilitating this friendly sporting event.
