Badachana: People in the Badachana region have expressed their dissatisfaction over the frequent unscheduled power cuts. Badachana has the only electricity sub-division, which supplies power to various panchayats in the area. During these summer days, the department has been repeatedly implementing unscheduled power cuts, often lasting around 5 to 6 hours in a single day.
When common people inquire with departmental officials about this, they are told that the line is coming from the grid. From the electricity substations, power is supplied to Badachana, Balichandrapur, Chhatia, and from there to Kalkala. Similarly, power is provided from Badachana to Bantala, Chandikhol, and various workshops.
Along with these unscheduled power cuts, the summer heat is making people restless. There are significant delays by the electricity department staff in serving the consumers. In Bantala village, despite a power cable being snapped about fifteen days ago at one location, the department is delaying the replacement of the cable.
Even after repeated requests to officials, they remain unresponsive. The departmental higher authorities are being urged to take immediate action and address the issue promptly.
