Nabarangpur, Jan, 03: A public hearing camp was organized at the Tentulikhunti Panchayat Samiti Hall under the joint chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain and Superintendent of Police Sandeep Sampat.
The camp was also attended by Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia, Chief Development Officer & Executive Officer of the District Council Biranchi Narayan Darowan, 6 other officers including Manoj Panigrahi, Tahsildar Pushpanjali Dandapat, and other district-level departmental officers.
During this public hearing camp, a total of 27 applicants submitted their complaints/petitions. Among these:
20 complaints were related to previous issues,
7 complaints were related to village and collective problems.
2 complaints were resolved immediately.
From the Social Security Department, one identified differently-abled person was provided with a wheelchair, and another person was granted a pension under the Madhubabu Pension Scheme, benefiting a total of 3,500 pension card holders.
This camp was conducted as part of the Good Governance Week, observed from 19th to 25th December, including district-level workshops. During the program, District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain addressed complaints related to various government schemes from the general public and beneficiaries. Many issues were resolved immediately at the camp itself.
The public grievance hearing program is a special component of this good governance initiative. The district administration ensures that complaints regarding the implementation of various central and state government schemes are given priority. Appropriate action is taken immediately to resolve issues by the concerned officers.
Senior officials, including the Additional District Collector (General), CDO, District Council, DSWO, and other departmental officers, provided information about their respective departments and schemes. Through PPT presentations, the central and state government schemes were displayed and explained to the attendees.
