Jharsuguda: A Public Grievance Hearing Camp was organized at the meeting hall of the Lakhnapur Block Office, under the chairmanship of District Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane. Present at the camp were District Council Chief Executive Officer Bishwaranjan, Development Officer N. Nayak, Sub-Collector Sabyasachi Panda, Additional SP Madhusmita Mishra, Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Huteshwari Tihiria, Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Mahesh Mohan Panda, Group Development Officer Binay Patel, Tahasildar Prasanna Patel, and Deputy Collector Umakanta Pradhan, along with several district and block-level officials.
A total of 45 complaints were received—19 group complaints and 26 individual complaints. The issues raised included:
Road repair in Katujor,
Electricity connection and piped drinking water supply in Bhaunrakhol,
Compensation for submerged farmland in Deopali,
Distribution of homestead land pattas in Katarbagar,
Replacement of revenue inspector in Pandari,
Construction of kitchen houses and boundary walls for schools,
Tube well installation in Wards 10 and 11,
Drinking water crisis due to a burnt water motor in Baghmunda,
Completion of road construction work,
Drinking water supply issues in Kudaloia,
Pollution caused by brick kilns using straw in Banjari,
Relocation of the electric transformer in Adhapada,
Reactivation of the lift irrigation project in Limeitikra,
Completion of yajna mandap construction and water supply in Sarangadega Bhaunrakhol.
Complaints related to various issues were heard, including individual grievances. In one case, a patient received financial aid of ₹30,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for medical treatment.
Concerned officials were instructed to take prompt action and resolve the complaints accordingly.
