Nabarangpur:Dec, 26:  As part of the district-level good governance week celebrations, a public grievance camp was held at the Tentulikunti Panchayat Samiti conference hall under the joint chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain and Superintendent of Police Sandip S. Sampat.

Additional officials present included Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia, Chief Development Officer Biranchi Narayan Darowan, BDO Manoj Panigrahi, Tahsildar Pushpanjali Dandapat, and other district-level departmental officers.

At this camp, a total of 27 applicants, including development officers and other administrative personnel, submitted their grievance petitions. Among these, 20 were individual complaints, and 7 were related to village or collective issues. Two of the complaints were resolved on the spot.

Under social security schemes, one identified differently-abled person was provided with a wheelchair, and four others received Madhubabu pension cards. These distributions took place from December 19 to 25.

During the ongoing Good Governance Week, the District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain, along with the Superintendent of Police, oversaw the district-level workshops where the public and beneficiaries presented grievances regarding various government schemes and other problems they were facing. Many issues were addressed immediately.
This public grievance hearing program, organized by the administration, is an important part of promoting good governance. The district administration ensures that if any complaint arises regarding the implementation of various central and state government schemes, immediate action is taken by the concerned officers.

Additional District Collector (General), CDO, District Council members, DSW, and other officials provided information on various departmental schemes. Through PPT presentations, details of different central and state government schemes were showcased.
