Kolnara, 11th Nov 2025: The residents of Kolnara village depend on the nearby perennial canal for their daily needs. However, over many years, the steps built to access this canal have broken, making it difficult for people to reach the canal. The steps were originally constructed near the canal, close to the Ubhayapatu and Dhavaleshwar temples.
In recent years, due to heavy rainfall in the upper areas, excessive water flows into the canal, causing the steps to wash away. Villagers face difficulties while going to the canal early in the morning for bathing and daily rituals.
Additionally, since this canal is located along National Highway 326, travelers also have to use these steps for their daily activities. Therefore, people are demanding the construction of proper steps on both sides of the canal along with appropriate lighting arrangements.
