Bhubaneswar, Feb, 10:: A five-member delegation of the Odisha State Private College Teachers and Employees’ Association held discussions with the high-level committee constituted under the chairmanship of retired IAS officer Ashok Kumar Tripathy.
The meeting was held at the Ama College Ama Gaurav conference hall at Toshali Bhawan in Satyanagar. During the meeting, a demand was placed to bring lecturers and non-teaching staff appointed between June 1, 2008 and June 1, 2018 in various aided and unaided colleges of the state under the purview of government grant-in-aid.
To justify the demand, Association President Biswaranjan Das presented relevant data before the committee. The high-level committee held a detailed discussion with the association for about one and a half hours.
The committee assured that it would immediately recommend to the Chief Minister the provision of grant-in-aid for the period from 2008 to 2018.
The delegation included President Biswaranjan Das, Secretary Priyabrata Mahapatra, Convener Nilu Nayak, Kendrapara District Coordinator Bapuji Mahapatra, and Cuttack District Coordinator Keshab Chandra Sahu.
