Bhubaneswar: The education system will see improvements through the introduction of Shishu Batika (early childhood learning centers), said School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond. He stated that primary education will become more robust as Shishu Batika has been launched. Admission festivals and the Khadichhua program have already been conducted, generating enthusiasm among both parents and children.
Teachers are being trained on how to teach in Shishu Batika settings. Children will be attracted to learning through curiosity-driven and play-based methods. Earlier, due to the absence of Shishu Batika in government schools, the foundation of primary education remained weak.
Recently, 16,000 junior teachers have been appointed, and more will be recruited in the future. Currently, Anganwadi centers will continue to operate as before, and future decisions regarding this system will be taken in due time, the minister added.
