Delhi, 25th July 2025: President Droupadi Murmu has officially accepted the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. Dhankhar tendered his resignation last night, citing health reasons. As per Article 67(A) of the Constitution, he submitted his resignation letter directly to the President. The sudden resignation has surprised many, prompting reactions from various political parties. Dhankhar was elected as the Vice President on August 11, 2022, and his term was originally set to continue until 2027.
