Nabarangpur, Feb, 7:: A preparatory meeting for the launch of Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 was held at the Ashok Mehta Conference Hall in the office of the District Collector, Nabarangpur, under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain.
In the meeting, a comprehensive and time-bound action plan was finalized in Dabugaon block to achieve saturation of five key indicators under the Aspirational District Programme and six indicators under the Aspirational Block Programme.

Under the Aspirational Block Programme, the block-level launch will be held on February 4, 2026, and February 5, 2026, in Tentulikhunti block. The district-level launch under the Aspirational District Programme has been scheduled for February 6, 2026, at the Mission Shakti Conference Hall, Nabarangpur.

To create public awareness on health, nutrition, education, agriculture, and allied indicators under the programme, a morning awareness rally (Prabhat Pheri) will be organized at 8:00 AM. The rally will begin from the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and conclude at the statue of Shaheed Mohammad Baji.

During the inaugural programme at the Mission Shakti Conference Hall, five departmental stalls will be set up by the Nutrition, Health, and Veterinary Departments to spread awareness about various government schemes and services. From February 7 to February 20, 2026, block-level awareness programmes will be conducted across the district. Additionally, from February 6, 2026, an awareness chariot will travel across all 10 blocks of Nabarangpur district to strengthen public participation and community engagement.

Under the Aspirational District Programme, the saturation indicators include: ensuring weight measurement of all live births, special initiatives for tuberculosis elimination, organizing at least one Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Day/Urban Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Day in Anganwadi Centres and Urban Primary Health Centres in the past month, 100% vaccination of livestock, and ensuring functional girls’ toilets in schools.

Similarly, under the Aspirational Block Programme, the saturation indicators include: regular provision of supplementary nutrition to all children (6 months to 6 years), weight measurement of children enrolled in Anganwadi Centres during the reporting month, ensuring functional toilets and drinking water facilities in Anganwadi Centres, 100% vaccination of bovine animals, and functional girls’ toilets in schools.
The District Collector directed all concerned departmental officers to take responsibility at their respective levels to achieve 100% saturation of these indicators within the stipulated timeline by April 14, 2026.

Among those present at the meeting were Chief Development Officer and Zilla Parishad CEO Biranchi Narayan Darwan, District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, Additional District Public Health Officer Dr. Malay Tripathy, Deputy Director (Planning & Monitoring) Aishwarya Bhanj, District Information and Public Relations Officer Behera, District Social Welfare Officer Draupadi Kahnra, and Program Manager, Piramal Foundation, Bikram Rana, among others.
