Nabarangpur, Feb, 17:A preparatory meeting for the upcoming District-Level Subhadra Shakti Mela was held at the District Council Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer Biranchi Narayan Darwan. The fair is scheduled to be held from 21 February 2026 to 27 February 2026.

Among those present at the meeting were Additional Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Jadumani Naik, DPC Mission Shakti Niranjan Tangaranga, ORMAS Assistant CEO Roshan Karvik, DPRO Manoj Behera, BDO Nabarangpur Sunil Khura, DCO Ghasiram Harijan, Municipality EO Ashok Karna, District Social Welfare Officer Rama Pattnaik, and other district officials.

It was decided that the mela will have 120 stalls. Out of these, 50% will be allotted to SHG (Self Help Group) stalls, while the remaining 50% will include departmental stalls, new SHGs, and food stalls. Emphasis will be given to high-quality packaging, labeling, and branding of products.

SHG groups will sell millet products, handloom items, traditional foods, and household goods under the “Subhadra Shakti” brand. Arrangements are being made for all products to be sold through QR-code-based digital payment systems.

Cultural programs will also be organized during the mela. Every product for sale will clearly mention MRP, weight, description, manufacturing date, and the name of the producing organization.
