Nabarangpur, Jan, 22: A preparatory meeting for the District-Level Employment Fair 2025–26 was held today at the local OSWAN VC Hall, under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain.
During the meeting, District Skill Development and Employment Officer Anand Chandra Palai briefed the participants about the employment fair. It was informed that more than 15 project implementing agencies and over 30 employers will take part in the fair.
As decided in the meeting, the employment fair will be held on February 4, 2026, at the playground of Raja Chaitanya Dev High School. It is expected that over 1,000 job-seeking youths, both men and women, will participate.
To facilitate candidates coming from remote areas, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) has been entrusted with the responsibility of arranging transportation.
The District Collector instructed the Block Development Officers, District Education Officer, District Labour Officer, principals of degree colleges, and the District Information and Public Relations Officer to ensure wide publicity of the programme. He also directed the District Skill Development and Employment Officer to provide publicity materials to all Block Development Officers at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Biswajit Barman, Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Biranchi Narayan Darwan, among others. District-level officers joined the meeting through virtual mode.
