Jeypore: A preparatory meeting was held regarding Gupteswar Shaiva Peetha, located in Baipariguda block of Koraput district, which is one of the oldest and most renowned Shaiva shrines in South Odisha. Every year, a large number of devotees visit this holy site, and with the month of Shravan approaching, special arrangements are being made.
The meeting emphasized the need to provide round-the-clock services such as drinking water, lighting, and police assistance to ensure a hassle-free experience for devotees. Departmental officers were directed to ensure no inconvenience is faced by pilgrims.
The meeting was chaired by Jeypore Sub-Collector Akbaram Sasya Reddy and attended by Jeypore SDPO Partha Kashyap. It was noted that devotees not only come from various districts of Odisha but also from neighboring states like Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, especially on Mondays of Shravan month, which witness a massive crowd for water offerings (Jalabhishek).
To manage the crowd effectively, various measures and administrative strategies were discussed during the meeting.
