Nabarangpur:Jan, 06: A preparatory meeting was held yesterday to organize the District-Level Fishery and Animal Husbandry Fair, chaired by District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain. The meeting was attended by officials from the Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Departments, along with representatives from other departments.
It was decided that the fair will be held on 19 January 2025 at the playground of P.M. High School, Nabarangpur. Dr. Swain emphasized that invited guests should be accorded due respect and that the general public and stakeholders should be made aware of various government schemes and benefits in an orderly and peaceful manner during the event.

Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Radheshyam Layek outlined the key objectives of the fair, highlighting that it aims to ensure state and central government schemes reach the public effectively, enabling citizens to fully benefit from them.

The two-day fair will feature 25 stalls showcasing programs and activities of the Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Departments, along with other participating departments. Farmers who have successfully participated in government schemes will also be felicitated.

The organizers expect participation from approximately 700 fish farmers and animal rearers from different blocks of the district each day
