Potholes on Patraput–Anchalagumma Road Disrupt Smooth Traffic Flow

Tentulikhunti, 19th Aug 2025:  In the native village of former MLA Sadashiv Pradhani, Patraput, the main road connecting Patraput and Anchalagumma has developed large potholes.

Two significant depressions have formed on the culvert section of the road, causing a major traffic bottleneck. Although the road was constructed last year, it has deteriorated and developed potholes before the work could be fully completed. Considering the government spends crores of rupees on such projects, the poor quality of work under departmental supervision raises serious concerns.

If the road in an MLA or MP’s own village is in such bad condition, it indicates how internal roads in other blocks of the district may be suffering. Local residents have demanded that the new government conduct a thorough investigation into such works and ensure strict enforcement of quality standards. Immediate repair of the road is also being demanded by the public.

Due to the potholes on the main Patraput–Anchalagumma road in Tentulikhunti block of Nabarangpur district, traffic movement has been severely affected, causing inconvenience to commuters.
