Dharamgarh, 31st Oct 2025: The entire Dharamgarh region is in mourning following the sudden demise of popular lab technician Tirupati Mund (45). Today, while working at the blood bank of Dharamgarh Government Hospital, he suffered a heart attack and passed away. He had arrived at the blood bank in the morning to start his routine work when he suddenly fell ill and collapsed. Fellow staff immediately rushed him to the hospital’s emergency ward, but despite the best efforts of doctors from all departments, his life could not be saved.
Tirupati Mund was known for his dedication, skill, and service-oriented attitude. Beyond his official duties, he was actively involved in community service, helping organize blood donations for patients facing shortages and assisting the needy. Known affectionately as “Tiru Da/Bhai,” he had been a familiar figure from childhood, prioritizing both healthcare and social service.
The news of his sudden demise cast a shadow of grief over the entire Dharamgarh area. Following the news, numerous prominent individuals visited the hospital to pay their last respects. Among them were Dharamgarh MLA Sudhir Ranjan Pattjoshi, NAC Chairman Ashok Kumar Mahanti, Vice President of Brajmohan Panchadev Radhakrishna Mandir Tushar Ranjan Pattjoshi, members of the blood bank staff, social worker Hrushikesh Mishra, government lawyer Rajendra Muni, Vishnu Prasad Agrawal (President of Jagannath Seva Samiti), lawyers Pradeep Das and Subas Panigrahi, businessman Vidyadhar Sahu, journalists Ashutosh Raut and Manas Ranjan Raut, hospital employees, and members of various voluntary organizations. All expressed shock and condolences, praying for the peace of his immortal soul.
The funeral procession saw the attendance of hundreds of people, reflecting his popularity and service in the community. Following his untimely death, there has also been a demand from his family to secure a government job for one earning member of the family.
Tirupati Mund’s passing is a significant loss to Dharamgarh, where he was deeply respected both as a professional and as a committed social worker.
