Kalahandi, March, 10: Since the declaration of Jaipatna NAC in Kalahandi, political activities in the area have intensified. As the upcoming elections approach, major political parties like the Congress, BJD, and BJP are preparing their respective strategies. Meanwhile, a new twist has emerged in this contest.
The visit of Madhu Mohanty, chief of “Define Kalahandi,” to Jaipatna has become a matter of concern for the traditional political parties. A workers’ conference was organized by “Define Kalahandi” at Jaipatna.
On this occasion, Mr. Mohanty addressed the local residents and said that Jaipatna has remained neglected for many years. Due to the failure to resolve basic issues in the area, the common people are feeling frustrated and disappointed. Because of the inefficiency of the government and public representatives, the development that Jaipatna deserved has not taken place.
For the upcoming NAC elections, “Define Kalahandi” is preparing to field its own candidates in all 15 wards. Mr. Mohanty stated that they will contest not for power, but for service and development.
