Nandapur, Jan, 01: Poet Bichitrananda Panda, who is serving as the Secretary of the Narayan Panda Smruti Sahitya Sansad operating in the Nandapur block area of Koraput district, has been felicitated with the Banibhushan Award.
The honour was conferred by the literary institution during the second anniversary celebration of the Subasini Library, held at Gopal Nivas, Gopinathpur, Balugaon, in the presence of differently-abled literary enthusiast Ranganath Sethi.
The programme was attended by the institution’s President, historian and truth-seeker Baliarasingh, Secretary Bichitrananda Behera, Golakh Chandra Parida, and other dignitaries.
The speakers praised poet Panda’s literary contributions, including his authored books Gaon Abadhan, Nisha Nibarana, Ame Arakai Kam Je, Bhasa Badal, and Sanskarana Bichar Chalichi, as well as the annual literary magazine Baishakhi, which he edits. His efforts in literary thought, protection of language and literature, social service, and de-addiction activities were highly appreciated.
