Nabarangpur, 5th Aug 2025: A live streaming event was organized today at the Mission Shakti Conference Hall in Nabarangpur, where Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred financial assistance under the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana to the bank accounts of farmers across the country.
As part of the national event held in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, the 20th installment of the scheme amounting to ₹20,500 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of over 8 crore farmers.
In Nabarangpur district, the local event was graced by Hon’ble MLA Gaurishankar Majhi, Collector Dr. Maheswar Swain, Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia, CDMO Barman, CDO Biranchi Narayan Daruwan, Deputy Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra, Chief District Agriculture Officer Sudhir Ranjan Behera, and Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Biswajit Adhikari, among others. Nearly 1,900 farmers participated in the program.
During the event, Prime Minister Modi highlighted other key schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Lakhpati Didi, Irrigation for Farmers, and Jan Dhan Yojana, emphasizing how agricultural development is vital for the overall development of the nation.
In Nabarangpur district alone, ₹2,000 each was transferred to the bank accounts of 1,07,539 farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme.
Officials like DIO & PRO Manoj Behera, CDVO Radheshyam Laik, ADO Anil Praharaj, and DDPD Siddharth Parida were also present on the occasion.
