PM Shri JNV Committee Proposes Deep Tube Wells and Medicated Mosquito Nets for Students’ Welfare

Indravati: A management committee meeting was held at PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Khatiguda, Tentulikhunti Block, which has been operational since 2001. The meeting was presided over by the school chairman, Ratnakar Sahu, and the chief guest was Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Maheshwar Chandra Nayak. The chairman welcomed the ADM and conducted the proceedings.

ADM Nayak emphasized the importance of quality education and assured that the students’ basic needs would be met. Among the attendees were committee members Sarbeshwar Pati, Anjana Nayak, Dr. G. Mohammad Husain from Tentulikhunti Community Health Center, Dr. Ranjan Kumar Swain, principal of the Higher Secondary School, departmental officer Sujata Sahu, and vice-chairman P. Sitaram.

Discussions focused on providing vocational education for students and ensuring their success in various entrance examinations. The committee decided to install two additional deep tube wells for daily student use. Furthermore, committee chairman and district collector Dr. Shubhankar Mahapatra took steps to establish a gym court for students, as confirmed by ADM Nayak.

Dr. Mohammad Husain recommended providing medicated mosquito nets to students, with support from the Chief District Medical Officer. MP Balabhadra Majhi informed that the construction of a large auditorium in the school premises was underway through his MP Local Area Development Fund. Similarly, MLA Gauri Shankar Majhi allocated funds from the MLA Development Fund for a waiting hall for parents and separate toilets for male and female students within the school premises.

Additionally, guardians suggested increasing the height of the protective boundary wall surrounding the 29.60-acre school campus for enhanced security.
