Nabarangpur. , 12th Nov 2025:  A management committee meeting was held at PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya located in Khatiguda, Nabarangpur. The meeting was organized under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain.

The school principal Dr. Pritabas Praharaj welcomed the District Collector with garlands and greetings. The meeting was attended by school principal Dr. Praharaj, Nabarangpur District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, Block Education Officer Sudipta Dash, school vice-principal P. Sitaram, Indravati Secondary School principal Binay Kumar Behera, Kendriya Vidyalaya English teacher Pradeep Hota, and the representative of the District School Board chairman, Devendra Jagannath Nayak, along with officials from the Rural Water Supply Department Engineer K. Santosh Kumar, and parent representatives Dinabandhu Parida and Pruthuraj Paikray. They discussed various important matters, and the District Collector assured that positive measures would be taken.

The District Collector expressed that the role of Navodaya Vidyalayas in providing quality education is independent and significant. He stated that parents had requested to provide students with regular health services and qualified teachers for quality education.

The District Collector also directed that students be provided with nutritious and attractive food, such as cakes, biscuits, traditional rice-based sweets, laddus, milk, and lassi, prepared in the school kitchen. District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu emphasized the participation of Navodaya students in various district-level competitions.

Since the school is admitting new students, it was requested to raise the boundary walls. A waiting area for parents coming from distant places along with a restroom and an auditorium for students was proposed, drawing the attention of the District Collector. The Collector reviewed all matters and assured that positive steps would be taken.

Among others present were English teacher Mukesh Gehlot, teacher W.P. Singh, Sanjay Singh Bhora, Sushant Kumar Pal, senior officers Sujata Sahu, Sattwe Kumar Mahanti, Paresh Kumar Panda, and others.
