Umarkotm Dec, 22: A person was injured in a bear attack in Raighar Mundibeda Panchayat of Nabarangpur district. The injured individual has been identified as Hadana Santa (50) from Batajhari village.
According to available information, Hadana had gone near a nearby pond around 6 a.m. today to relieve himself when two bears attacked him. Hadana managed to protect himself and ran from the spot, informing his family about the incident.
His family members, finding him in serious condition, immediately took him by vehicle to Umarkot Sub-Division Hospital. After preliminary treatment, as his condition remained critical, he was transferred to the District Headquarters Hospital.
The bear attack left Hadana with injuries to his head and right hand.
