Umerkote: A retirement felicitation ceremony was held at Pendrani College, Umerkote, to honour Dr. Rabindra Mishra, Senior Professor of the Department of Economics, who officially retired from service on Monday. The event took place at the college premises and was chaired by Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra, the Principal.
During the farewell function, several faculty members including Prof. Dibakar Tanayak, Ramshankar Pattnaik, G. Dharmendra, Dr. Pradosh Pattnaik, Dr. Chinmaya Raut, Sameer Mohanty, Ashok Kujur, Surabhi Das, Ritu Dora, and Dr. Priyanka, along with other professors and staff, were present.
Dr. Mishra had begun his teaching career on August 14, 1990, and served in the field of education for 35 years. All speakers highlighted his strong personality, dedication to teaching, efforts in greening the campus, affection towards students, excellent relations with staff, and courteous behavior.
Head of Department Ashok Kujur praised Dr. Mishra’s contribution to the development of the department. On the same day, the English Department also held a separate felicitation to honour Dr. Mishra on his retirement.
