Jeypore, Dec, 22: The Rahagiri–5.0 Path Utsav was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm in Jeypore town of Koraput district. The event was attended by Koraput MLA Raghuram Machh as the chief guest. Other distinguished attendees included District Collector Manoj Satyawan Mahajan, Chairperson of Jeypore Municipality Narendra Kumar Mahanti, Sub-Collector Akbaram Sasya Reddy, SP Rohit Verma, BDO Shakti Mahapatra, Tahasildar Sabyasachi Jena, SDPO Partha Kashyap, Sadar Police Station IIC Ullas Chandra Raut, Sadar Police Officer Sachindra Pradhan, along with all municipal councillors and other officials.
After a gap of two years, the Jeypore Municipality organized the Rahagiri program once again, which brought joy to the residents of the town. Despite the chilly winter morning, people enthusiastically participated in the Path Utsav, ignoring the cold.
More than 51 groups took part in various competitions. Students from different schools and colleges actively participated. Participants who secured first and second positions in the competitions were awarded prizes.
The entire town of Jeypore came alive with tribal dance and music, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere during the event.
