Partition Horrors Remembrance Day Observed Across the Nation

Jeypore,18th Aug 2025: The Koraput BJP unit observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day at the residence of MLA Raghuram Machh.

In this program, Koraput MLA Raghuram Machh, District President Shiba Muduli, State Executive Member Purnima Nayak, former BJP District President Bijay Mishra, Chaitanya Hantal, along with several other BJP leaders and workers, were present.

India is a secular nation. On the midnight of August 14, 1947, the partition between India and Pakistan took place. While people of all religions live in India, Pakistan is inhabited only by Muslims. After partition, discussions were held on how to preserve the unity and integrity of the nation.

Since then, Pakistan has constantly attempted to capture Jammu and Kashmir. By implementing Article 370, special rights had been granted there. In Pahalgam, Hindus were selectively shot and killed. Even today, Hindus face insecurity.

The MLA urged that everyone must come forward with determination to build an “Akhand Bharat” (United India) and ensure that India is never divided again.
