Papadahandi, Nov 29:   Panchayat-level Constitution Day was celebrated today at Patritha in the Papadahandi block. On this day in 1949, the Constitution of India, written by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, was adopted in the Constituent Assembly. Since then, this day is observed across the country as Constitution Day. India has been celebrating Constitution Day nationwide since 2015.

On this occasion, various competitions were organized among students of local schools, including drawing competitions, music competitions, and debate competitions. The participating students were awarded prizes by the guests present.

Among those present at today’s event were the local Panchayat PEO Manglu Bhatra, BPC (PESA) Girija Prasad Dalai, Piramal Pratistha Sabha member Shubhashree Das, Headmaster Santosh Kumar Tripathi, Bishwaranjan Pani, Ranjita Behera, Himanshu Shekhar Sori, members of the women’s self-help groups, and villagers.

During the event, the guests highlighted the various fundamental rights and privileges that the Constitution grants to citizens, spreading awareness among all present.
