Sambalpur, Nov 26: The state government has issued strict instructions to all district collectors today regarding the construction of pucca houses. Under the Antyodaya Griha Yojana, district officers have been given targets to ensure that all pucca houses are completed by the end of December.
A letter has been sent to all district collectors by the Panchayati Raj Department. Instructions have been given to complete the construction of 1,88,263 pucca houses by December. Specifically, 16,742 pucca houses in Bhadrak, 11,131 in Nuapada, 90,949 in Nabarangpur, 14,193 in Koraput, 7,757 in Balangir, and 8,410 in Baleshwar have been instructed to be completed.
So far in the current financial year, 1,14,357 houses have already been constructed, while 3,26,582 house projects remain incomplete. Panchayati Raj Minister Ravi Narayan Nayak has instructed officials to take strict action to ensure timely completion.
It is noteworthy that through the Antyodaya Griha Yojana, the BJP government is working to provide pucca houses for everyone. An expenditure of ₹7,550 crore has been allocated for this scheme, with a target of constructing 2,25,000 pucca houses within the next three years.
