Dharmasala  Jarka, Dharmasala, and Rasulpur block officials are reportedly not listening to panchayat-level representatives. As a result, developmental projects in the Dharmasala constituency have come to a halt. Former MLA of Dharmasala, Pranab Balabantaray, raised these allegations during a press conference held at the BJD office in Jarka, Dharmasala block.

He also criticized the district administration for not taking any action regarding the attacks on panchayat representatives that took place in August. Additionally, he alleged that bills are being cleared without the signature of the respective block chairpersons.

Many development projects that were stalled during the previous BJD government remain unfinished. Despite repeated notifications to the district administration, no action has been taken. The functioning of the rural development department in Dharmasala, Jarka, and Jajpur-2 has completely stopped. Particularly in the Dharmasala constituency, all developmental activities have come to a standstill, according to the former MLA.

He urged the district administration to pay attention to the issue. The press conference was attended by district council member Jaladhar Mohanty and BJD student wing president Jagadananda Raut, among others.
