Koraput, 16th Sept 2025: A tragic incident occurred in front of the Koraput Police Headquarters. A pan shop owner died after the roof of a market complex building collapsed.
The shopkeeper, who was critically injured in the accident, was rescued and shifted to the Medical College, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The rescue operation was carried out under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police (SP), and personnel from the fire department were deployed using ODRAF (Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force) teams.
The deceased has been identified as P. Lakanath Patra, reportedly aged over 60 years.
