Bhubaneswar, Jan, 05: Paddy procurement in the mandi will continue until March this year.
Response from Supply Minister Krishnachandra Patra:
“So far, 10.50 lakh metric tons of paddy have been purchased.”
2.30 lakh farmers have sold their paddy, said the minister.
Procurement is ongoing in 18 districts, and tokens have been issued to 11 lakh farmers.
Rs2,350 crore has been credited to farmers’ accounts.
The Supply Minister said all farmers’ paddy will be purchased.
