Nandapur, 29th Sept 2025: While mobile network issues persist in Kasandi Panchayat of Nandapur Block, Koraput District, no permanent solution has yet been found. Villagers raised complaints during a public grievance hearing held on Monday, expressing frustration over the lack of mobile connectivity in more than half of the villages in the panchayat.
In most areas, there is no mobile network, and in some places where the network exists, villagers must go to specific spots to make or receive calls, as using mobile phones inside their homes is nearly impossible. In this digital era, the poor network connectivity in the panchayat is proving to be a major obstacle to development, prompting public representatives to express their displeasure.
During the grievance camp, chaired by BDO Durgaprasad Dora, Panchayat Samiti members, Block Vice-Chairperson Gopal Hantal, Sarpanch Naveena Muduli, Assistant Executive Engineer Jhasketan Behera, Community Health Center Officer Dubaraj Murmu, and various ward members were present.
Villagers not only highlighted the network issue but also submitted 11 written complaints, which included:
- Request for additional classrooms at Pedadaba and Rudhichua Primary Schools
- Resolution of multiple issues at Kasandi High School
- Construction of a paved road connecting Bandkaput – Redhaput – Sarbati
- These complaints have been officially registered.
- BDO Dora informed that the grievances will be discussed with the District Collector and other concerned departmental officials to ensure their resolution.
