Bhubaneswar, 21st July 2025: The first phase of admissions into undergraduate (+3) courses under the Higher Education Department concluded on Saturday. Following the declaration of the +2 Instant Exam results, a notification for the second phase of +3 admissions will soon be released. Students who passed the Instant Exams will also get the opportunity to enroll.
Out of a total of 2,74,153 seats in undergraduate (+3) courses, more than 1.80 lakh students have already enrolled in the first phase. However, over 90,000 seats still remain vacant across 1,053 colleges and universities.
Today marked the last date for instant admission. Among the various streams, Arts had the highest enrollment with 1,13,968 students, while Sanskrit had the lowest with only 3,198 students taking admission.
In the upcoming second phase, students will not receive any reservation benefits. A single round of instant admissions will be conducted for the remaining vacant seats, and merit lists will be published based on +2 marks.
