Cuttack, Jan, 07: The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, was held on Wednesday. A total of 1,51,999 candidates appeared for the examination at 452 examination centers across the state.
CCTV cameras were installed at various examination centers, and the exam was closely monitored from a command and control room at the Board headquarters.
The examination was conducted in two sittings. The first paper was held in the forenoon from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., while the second paper took place in the afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
According to BSE President Srikant Tarai, the results are expected to be declared by January 20.
Meanwhile, the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) application deadline has been extended. Aspirants can now apply until the 20th of this month, whereas the earlier deadline was the 17th. The Board extended the deadline in response to requests from candidates.
