Bhubaneswar, 9th Sept 2025: The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) is scheduled to be held on September 27. The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has already issued a notification, and preparations for the exam are underway.
However, many teachers are in a dilemma, wondering how they can appear for the exam on a working day. Since September 27 falls on a Saturday, it is the last working day before the Dussehra vacation in schools.
Teachers who have filled out the OTET form are now questioning whether they should go to take the exam or attend school to teach students. This concern has been raised by the Primary School Teachers’ Association.
The association has pointed out that, according to the academic calendar issued by the School and Mass Education Department, the Dussehra holiday begins on September 29 and continues until October 7.
