Malkangiri,8th Aug 2025: A meeting of the Odisha School and College Teachers and Employees Coordination Committee (OSSTA ) was held at Junior Women’s College, Malkangiri, on the occasion of August Kranti Diwas. The event was organized by the district unit ofOS STA .
Teachers and staff from most schools in the district participated in the meeting, which was presided over by State Executive Committee Member Sri Swain. The session was coordinated by District Vice President Suryakanta Panigrahi, with Principal Dushmanta Jena of the Women’s College serving as the chief guest.
At the beginning of the event, tributes were paid to departed teachers and staff from various schools of the district. A two-minute silent prayer was observed in memory of:

District Secretary Manoj Kumar Mahapatra gave the introductory address. A detailed discussion was held regarding the upcoming Mass Protest Day to be organized at PMG Square in Bhubaneswar on August 16, with an emphasis on how teachers from every school in the district will participate.
Secretary Mahapatra elaborated on the demands and read out the official charter of demands. Key participants in the discussion included Dinabandhu Bej, Hadibandhu Mallik, Ratikanta Raut, and Madan Mohan Mahapatra.
Other attendees who contributed to the success of the event included Sudarshan Swain, Randhakar Das, Giridhari Sahu, Manoj Tripathy, Ashok Kumar Raut, Niranjan Nayak, Ramesh Chandra Bhuya, Laxmikant Panigrahi, Prashant Kumar Pradhan, Surendra Nath Barik, Dhaneshwar Panda, Tapan Kumar Patra, Aniruddha Das, Lambodara Raut, Bharat Chandra Panda, and Tarani Kumar Barik. The meeting witnessed active participation of numerous teachers and staff, marking it a successful and well-attended gathering.
