Bhubaneswar, 22nd Sept 2025:  The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) will now make interview marks public. These marks will no longer be kept confidential.

Every candidate has the right to know their own interview marks. Knowing this will help them perform better in future examinations. This practice is already followed by UPSC, and OPSC is also now making all interview marks public.

The Odisha Information Commission, during the hearing of an appeal case, directed the OPSC to disclose this information. This is being seen as a historic judgment by the Odisha Information Commission.

Direction to Make All Exam Marks Public

This direction was given in relation to the 2002 recruitment for Assistant Teacher posts.

She sought information on how many marks were awarded to all selected candidates in order to understand the merit and evaluation process. She submitted her request under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
