onstable Trainees Take the Oath in Passing-Out Parade

Chandikhole,29th Sept 2025:  The passing-out ceremony of constable trainees of the Odisha State Excise Department was held on Wednesday at the Solar Police Training Centre near Chadheia in Badachana Block, Jajpur District, under the chairmanship of Ashok Kumar Dehuri.

The trainees, after completing a long and rigorous training program, are now ready to be deployed in active duty under the Excise Department. Odisha Minister of Law and Excise, Prithviraj Harichandan, attended as the Chief Guest, received the guard of honour, and congratulated the trainees on their successful completion of training.

In his address, the Minister stated that Excise Constables will play a crucial role in enforcing prohibition policies, controlling the illegal liquor trade, and maintaining order and discipline in society. He emphasized that dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of duty are essential in their service, which will contribute to building a healthy and safe society.

A total of 150 trainees who completed their first-year training were awarded appointment certificates during the event.

The ceremony also featured a grand parade, tactical demonstrations, and various cultural programs performed by the trainees.

Other notable guests included:

  • Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, Principal Secretary of the Excise Department,
  • Amar Kumar Nayak, MLA of Badachana,
  • P. Anvesha Reddy, Excise Commissioner of Odisha.
  • Departmental officers, trainers, local dignitaries, and family members of the trainees were also present at the event.
  • Harish Patel delivered the vote of thanks at the end of the program
