Bengaluru, Nov 21st, 2025: OneTAC (Tourism, Arts & Culture), India’s flagship digital public infrastructure for the experience economy, launched its first Experience Circuit in Udupi at the Bangalore Tech Summit. The launch was graced by Prashant Prakash, Chair of the Karnataka Vision Group on Startups and Partner at Accel, and Dr. Trilok Chandra, IAS, Secretary – Tourism, Government of Karnataka. The initiative is officially endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, under the Incredible India campaign.

The OneTAC Udupi Experience Circuit is powered by a strong coalition of partners:

Together, these partners are creating a scalable, community-led tourism model rooted in digital public infrastructure. The initiative aims to strengthen micro-entrepreneurs, artisans, guides, performers, and hyper-local creators.
Speaking at the launch, Prashant Prakash said:

Introducing the First OneTAC Cohort in Udupi
The inaugural Udupi Experience Circuit begins with 20 experience entrepreneurs across 6 curated segments, offering 15+ unique trails. The ecosystem will expand over the next 180 days to include more circuits, creators, and experiences across Coastal Karnataka.
Dr. Trilok Chandra, IAS, added:
“Launching OneTAC with the Udupi Circuit reinforces our commitment to community-led tourism and cultural revival. Alongside the upcoming Karnataka Centre for Cultural Diplomacy (KCCD), we aim to showcase Karnataka’s heritage globally and strengthen livelihoods for local artists, performers, and cultural entrepreneurs.”
Why Udupi?
Udupi offers a rare blend of culture, ecology, and creativity — from temple traditions, Daiva worship, and Yakshagana to youth-driven ocean culture like surfing and scuba diving. Its backwaters, mangroves, and proximity to the Western Ghats make it one of India’s richest biodiversity zones. The region’s cultural identity thrives through its people — artisans, fisherfolk, performers, home chefs, naturalists, and storytellers.

OneTAC Impact Fund Announced
The community has approved the OneTAC Impact Fund, a joint initiative between the State Government and market partners to scale tourism operations for micro experience entrepreneurs. Beginning with Udupi, the fund will support future cohorts across Karnataka and beyond.
