Umerkote: One person died and two others were critically injured in a horrific road accident this morning. A pickup van bearing registration number CG-04 PW 3991 was en route from Raighar to Umerkote carrying goods when it collided head-on with a motorcycle near Burja Chhak on the Raighar-Umerkote road.
The collision was so severe that one of the three persons riding the motorcycle had his arm and leg severed on the spot, leading to his immediate death at the scene. The deceased has been identified as Parshu Gauda of Sandasa village.
The other two passengers on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Umerkote Hospital for treatment. According to sources, Umerkote police arrived at the scene and have launched an investigation. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup van reportedly fled the spot following the accident.
