Papadahandi: A tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening near Dhansuli under the Tumbarla outpost in Papadahandi, Nabarangpur district, where two motorcycles collided head-on, resulting in the death of one person and critical injuries to two others.
The deceased has been identified as Chakra Bhitara from Nakatiguda village. The injured have been identified as Vijay Bhitara and Ram Bhatara of Mahulpadar village.
According to sources, Ram and Vijay were traveling toward Papadahandi on one motorcycle, while Chakra was returning from Papadahandi on another. Near Dhansuli, the two bikes collided.
Locals immediately rescued all the victims and admitted them to the Papadahandi Community Health Center, where doctors declared Chakra Bhitara dead. Due to the critical condition of the other two, they were referred to Nabarangpur for advanced treatment.
The Papadahandi police reached the scene, seized both motorcycles, and have started an investigation into the incident.
