Bhubaneswar,  Jan, 12:  For the first time, fresh produce from Odisha—onion, beans, cucumber, and bottle gourd, grown by farmers in Kalahandi and Nabarangpur—has been successfully exported to Dubai.

There has been a high demand for Odisha’s vegetables abroad. This initiative ensures that farmers receive fair prices for their produce while also gaining access to new markets.

Dr. Ramesh Chandra Vishwal, founder and CEO of Vilamart, stated that this step has opened new avenues for Odisha’s farmers. Farmers will now be able to get higher prices for the quantity of produce they grow. This move is expected to increase farmers’ income in the state and will also support the development of a new agricultural export policy.
