Bhubaneswar, Dec, 12: Foreign tourists are increasingly liking Odisha — in the last five years, 1.33 lakh foreign tourists have visited the state.
The highest number of tourists came from Japan. In 2020, 10,206 foreign tourists visited Odisha;
in 2021, 2,269 foreign tourists;
in 2022, 22,172 foreign tourists;
in 2023, 45,173 foreign tourists;
and in 2024, 53,392 foreign tourists visited the state.
Italy stands in second place in terms of foreign tourist arrivals, while Germany ranks third.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida presented this information in a written reply in the Assembly.
