Bhubaneswar,: As a gift to Odisha ahead of the completion of his term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned 105 projects worth Rs 90,000 crore for the state. Today, he laid the foundation stones for 60 projects valued at Rs 9,141 crore and inaugurated 45 completed projects worth Rs 9,011 crore. He also unveiled the Odisha Vision Document for 2036 and 2047.

2 agricultural projects worth Rs 143 crore
1 health project for a medical hub worth Rs 32 crore

22 road and bridge projects worth Rs 1,616 crore
25 urban development projects worth Rs 1,858 crore
7 railway projects worth Rs 2,756 crore
4 national highway projects worth Rs 1,432 crore

A total of Rs 18,653 crore has been spent on laying foundations and inaugurations for these 105 projects.
In the railway sector, 1 new project was launched, and 6 projects were inaugurated, with a total expenditure of Rs 2,756 crore.
Launch of Baraputra Heritage Village Scheme
Under the Baraputra Heritage Village Scheme, the birthplace of Odisha’s legendary sons (“Baraputra”) will be developed comprehensively. Their ancestral homes will be converted into museums, statues will be erected, and a lecture centre will be established.
Additional developments include:
A children’s park
Handicrafts and cuisine stalls
A library
A conference hall
An open-air theatre
The aim is to transform their villages into historical, cultural heritage sites and tourist destinations.
