Odisha Implements National Education Policy 2020 Across the State

Bhubaneswar:  National Education Policy 2020 has been implemented across Odisha, marking the commencement of the ‘Pravesh Utsav’ and ‘Khadichhua’ festival. In this context, the district-level celebration in Nabarangpur was held at the Government Upper Primary School, Ex-Board, Nabarangpur.

As part of the event, the young learners began their educational journey by writing “A” and “Aa” after circling three times while chanting the names of Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara. The honorable Minister of School and Mass Education, Shri Nityananda Gond, attended the program as the chief guest and inaugurated the event.

Distinguished guests included Nabarangpur MLA Shri Gaurishankar Majhi, Nabarangpur Collector Shri Shubhankar Mahapatra, and Nabarangpur Municipality Chairman Shri Kunu Nayak, who were present at the celebration.

During the festival, children participated in the ‘Khadichhua’ ritual and received learning kits. Additionally, their classrooms were inaugurated, along with an awareness chariot and the unveiling of songs in the native language designed to promote awareness.

Other dignitaries present at the event included Nabarangpur District Education Officer Shri Chhatrapati Sahu, Additional District Education Officer Shri Reshamlal Nayak, Nabarangpur Block Education Officer Shri Ramesh Roy, Senior Mandal Education Officer of Nandahandi Block Shri Shrikant Jani, Senior Mandal Block Education Officer of Kosagumuda Shri Supriya Nayak, and other notable personalities.
