Odisha Govt Hikes Incentive for Antodaya Housing Scheme Beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar, 1st Sept 2025: In a significant development, the Odisha government has revised the rules for the Antodaya Housing Scheme to provide enhanced incentives to beneficiaries. Under the updated guidelines, the incentive period for house construction has been extended.

Previously, beneficiaries received an incentive amount of ₹20,000 upon completing their house construction within 4 months. However, with the new policy, the time limit has been increased to 6 months, while the incentive amount of ₹20,000 remains the same.

For projects that exceed 6 months but are completed within 8 months, beneficiaries will now be entitled to an incentive amount of ₹10,000. This revised policy has been announced by the Panchayati Raj Department to ensure timely completion of housing projects under the scheme.

In the past, many beneficiaries faced delays in receiving their second installment of payments due to issues with the Aadhar Payment Bridge System. This caused delays in house construction, with many works being stalled midway due to lack of financial support.

With the revised guidelines, the state government hopes to speed up house construction under the Antodaya Housing Scheme and provide much-needed relief to low-income families. The new directive is expected to streamline the incentive process and ensure that more families benefit from the scheme in a timely manner.
