Lakhanpur, 25th July 2025: A wave of joy has swept across the region after the government issued a notification approving the introduction of +2 Science education in two government high schools of Lakhanpur block.
According to sources, from the upcoming academic year, students will be able to pursue +2 Science education at:
- Kanaktora Government High School (border area)
- Dalgaon Regional Government High School
This move is expected to benefit students from poor and working-class families, allowing them to access quality science education at minimal cost.
Local youth and lawyer Shribanta Kumar Chaini expressed his gratitude, saying that this decision has ignited new hopes in the community as the school was already offering preliminary arrangements for science education.
Similarly, local intellectual Kalicharan Meher thanked the State Government and Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, stating that this fulfills a long-standing demand of the area.
Rohiteshwar Pradhan, coordinator of the Indian Cultural Knowledge Examination Department in Dalgaon, praised the initiative, calling it a step toward building an advanced society. He credited the decision to the government’s vision for change and the strong leadership of the local MLA and Revenue Minister.
This move is seen as a milestone in improving rural education infrastructure and providing equal opportunities to students in remote areas.
