Cuttack The Indian government has appointed Tuhin Kanta Pandey, a 1987-batch IAS officer from the Odisha cadre, as the new chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for a three-year term. Prior to this, Pandey served as the Finance Secretary and was instrumental in key financial decisions, including the Air India disinvestment. He succeeds Madhabi Puri Buch, whose tenure concluded recently.
