17th July 2025, Bhubaneswar: Tension continues to escalate over the death of the FM College student. Congress has called for an Odisha Bandh (statewide shutdown) today. A total of 8 political parties, including Congress and Left parties, have given the call for the bandh. The bandh has been announced in protest against the death of the FM College student. Congress is demanding a judicial inquiry into the incident. On Thursday, the public has been urged to keep schools, colleges, shops, markets, and vehicles closed. PCC President Bhakta Das has appealed to the people of Odisha to make the bandh successful.
