Nabarangpur, 16th Aug 2025: The Nikhula Odisha 662 Category (+2 and +3) Private Teachers and Staff Association, Nabarangpur district branch, submitted a memorandum addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi through Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Bishwajit Barman.
As per the state association’s decision, all teachers and staff from higher secondary schools and colleges in the district gathered and peacefully handed over the memorandum to the Additional District Magistrate. District Secretary and Principal of Jharigaon Higher Secondary School, Shiba Prasad Patnaik, and District Coordinator Anil Kumar Prusti, along with teachers and employees from all higher secondary schools and colleges, participated, demanding job regularization and pension benefits.
In line with the 662 District Association’s resolution, it was decided that all members will participate in the upcoming state-level convention on the 16th of this month to press for their rightful demands.
Institutions whose principals, teachers, and staff took part included: Panabeda Higher Secondary School, Chandahandi; Panabeda College, Chandahandi; Raj Chauria Higher Secondary School, Kodiga, Kosagumuda Block; Panchayat Samiti Higher Secondary School, Raighar; Jharigaon Higher Secondary School, Jharigaon; Nabarangpur Women’s College, Nabarangpur; Biju Patnaik Women’s Higher Secondary School, Umerkote; and Maidulpur Higher Secondary School, Maidulpur.
